If Sony region locks the PS4 I will be very unhappy since I import from all regions. Luckily they have a great track record lately and have not locked the last 3 consoles.

Kind of disappointed the XB1 will be locked but not surprised... Most of the US content makes its way to Japan anyway, at least with the 360.

This sucks for south america, buying from eBay from all over the world most of the times is the only option, games are cheaper too in some parts like South Korea and China.

Since blu ray can contain most language data is pretty much the same game in most cases.

Yes, actually more and more lately. The only issue being here in Germany we usually get an extra special region lock on our games for some stupid reason. I think it's really mostly down to publishers lately though. I mean Ubisoft's games are never region locked, neither are Microsoft's, or 2K's. On the other hand, Konami, and Capcom are always region locked. Hopefully as many as possible will be region free next gen
