Over the paste few days, we have been reading comments and message boards following the Xbox One announcement. There are a few questions regarding used games. I wanted to clarify and provide this official statement:

The ability to trade in and resell games is important to gamers and to Xbox. Xbox One is designed to support the trade in and resale of games. Reports about our policies for trade in and resale are inaccurate and incomplete. We will disclose more information in the near future.

This really does nothing to answer any of our question or concerns.

Although at least they are saying that what we are currently hearing is misinformed or not the entire picture.

Everyone needs to blow up the twitter feeds of @yosp @majornelson @nintedoamercia and tell them to say NO to EA, DRM like this is bad for everyone but publishers and used games actually help the market which is why EVERY other market has a viable used section.

Doing this will send the signal we all want to see happen regardless of your favorite console.

You buy a game, you own that game and you should be able to do whatever the fuck you want with that game. Greedy little bastards.

Wow thanks for that vital information Major Nelson. Clearly we all jumped the gun.

So we still don't know....

Microsoft really need to tell us their plans at this point. Everything is pointing towards used games being blocked with games now being tied to your account. This makes the disc worthless. And the only way to trade it in is via specific retail stores where MS get paid a cut. OFC it's all rumours but MS haven't exactly denied it now....

So why don't they go ahead and explain it then?
