So do you think ouya poses any threat to the big 3? Will it eventually become the big 4 with ouya taking up some sales or will it take out the competition? I honestly see no chance of this happening at all. The ouya will either be niche or fail hard in the long run.

I'm not sure. I think it has a chance at being niche since the starting price is $100. I say it's money wasted on it, but some do see values in using it for roms and stuff. It could resonate somewhat with them, carving out a nice little niche.

I just don't see the value that Ouya offers. I mean, from the very little that I understand, the crux seems to be publishing, and I just don't understand why a console is needed to solve that problem.
