Sorry Nintendo, but overall a dissapointing show. The game that I have less expectations ended being the best (MK8).
Can anyone tell them they a Wii U, a more powerful console than Wii? 3D World looks worse than both Galaxy, WWHD doesn't look that next-gen and DK for Retro? Now new surprises, no megatons, nothing...

Iwata, I'm now laughing at you.

It looks good actualy. Stream didn't show but you can get a recap here: http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Misc-/Nintendo-Direct/Latest-Nintendo-Direct/Nintendo-Direct-698557.html

I do get it though. MK surprisingly was the best of the show even though probably the least anticipated game here. It's a solid show, but can't help but think it could've easily been better. A proper SMG-Mario game and MEtroid would've made this Direct incredible. Weird decisions :(

Understandable decisions. The WiiU is in trouble, so they are bringing out the best-selling franchises first.

SMG is one of the ebst selling Nintendo games as well. SM3D doesn't feel right on the Wii U. Crazy to think that production values on the 3DS look higher respectively. We got Kid Icarus and Luigi's Mansion both look like they could be console games where as most of the games releasing on the Wii U could comfortably be ported on the 3DS.

Yeah. I really wanted to buy a Wii U this year. But unless they provide a compelling bundle and/or price, that might slip into 2014 once Mario Kart 8 comes out. Gotta have that.

I'm a little surprised they didn't lead with MK8. That game is a system seller for many many many people. Maybe they are planning to let the storm of 2013 systems pass. Or maybe it just really isn't ready. Seems like you would devote more resources to a system mover though.

There goes my hopes of a new Earthbound.

I'm glad Retro is doing a new DK. I'm one of the few people that actually wanted that. Excellent.

Wasting time in W101?

I have yet to see 3D Mario, MK or Smash. Is it true the Mario doesn't look as good as Galaxy? Miyamoto going TOO simple again?

So more of the same. Smash and Kart are fun to play with a case of beer and some buddies, and DK always throws me back to my younger years. Tons of appeal for devout Nintendo fans, but still nothing to really bring in new audiences.

It's all about the game.

I gave it a "good" rating. Only OH SNAP moment that registered for me was Mega Man, which was definitely cool.

The problem is that they had no real surprises. There was almost nothing to push someone on the fence over into the Nintendo camp. It was good for Nintendo fans but I don't seem much here winning new fans.

They needed something huge, in my opinion, but failed to deliver. Solid but not spectacular.

Winning new fans isn't really the issue. Wii U needed games that people want to buy: Mario Kart, Mario 3D Land, Donkey Kong Country, Smash Bros are really exactly the kinds of games they needed to show.

Wish they had more info on X, though.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Super Mario 3D World - 2013

Rumored open world 3D Mario - 2014

That would be my guess. I'd say rather a cheap 3D Mario early than nothing.

It was a good show overall but Nintendo played it safe honestly.

With this Direct, Nintendo showed that the Wii U will be a great ''secondary'' console for those Nintendo First Party games. It doesn't surprise me, but people expecting them to reveal every single Nintendo franchise were kidding themselves.

X saved the direct.

But the rest fell short.

I was still hoping for huge new IP. Wonderfull 101 looks fun but i mean new Pokemon/Zelda potential. Like pokoko said no big suprises.

I am so glad i dont own a Wii-U or 3ds. I would have been so pissed at this.

So what games are you lot excited for? I thought boynetta game or whatever you spell it is boring. didnt like the first one. Zelda looked ok but i want a zelda like the one they showed on the Wii-U the other year.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st
