If the 3DS Metroid is an FPS I'll buy it for sure. Metroid Prime 1/2 showed that controls with one stick (C-stick was used only to change weapons) works perfectly fine if done right. Given the size of the 3DS cards vs GC discs this game would have massive open-world potential.

Something tells me that Nintendo doesn't find that appropriate for a portable game though and will go for a more linear approach.

Do you believe we will have 80 yoshi levels DLC on NSMB U, like it happened with Luigi?

Just Imagine: Yoshi's Island 3, Yoshi's Yarn and a New Super Yoshi "Bros", all in 2014.

Am I the only one puzzled by a full open world platformer 3D Mario?

How are they going to do that? Will it be something like Super Mario Sunshine?

(1) Just a teaser would be utterly disappointing almost 1 year after reveal, and would raise some questions about the project in a whole. 

(2) What drama?

1. If the January Nintendo Direct is any indicator, the project is probably still early in development. I do not expect to see a demo at E3, but maybe some gameplay at best.

2. No drama about the Sonic deal (of note), so it's probably akin to the Bayonetta backlash last year (which wasn't nearly as huge as some people claim it was :/ ). I, for one, would like to see Persona 5 become a Wii U exclusive. *evil laughter*

Aww, I would've liked Metroid Prime 4 on the Wii U over a 3DS entry...

But games are games, and we need games.
