Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One voice command weren't in real time

This is getting worse by the day, a clicker control to make presentations mabey? Lets all wait till e3 till we pass judgement

So did anyone actually check whether those tv snippets were actually being broadcasted at the time of the demonstration? I got the suspicion that some stuff was staged and some stuff was "real". I did notice that strange behaviour that he always put his left hand into his pocket just before the "xbox.." yell. But then he always did go to a very specific place on the stage before "talking to Kinect2" or waving hands (I couldn't see where the Kinect2box actually was), and moved away from that spot when talking/waving otherwise. Lots of other people yelled xbox during the conference and the display never changed, though... (I'd give the presentation 5 points for actually showing up with female presenters, though. A concept that seems to be strange to other companies).

Over hyping tv features! Big no-no!

Lol...

The fact that it is just an overlay and not a cable box replacement, how could it enable you to change channels faster than the hardware in your cable box would actually allow?

It's not a cable box, it is a video feed of some sort

Yes, but you need to plug your cable box into the XBone. It is similar to Google TV.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

It's effectively false advertising. They are promoting what a buyer will experience, and a buyer will not experience what was shown.

It could've been a device to tell the xbone to listen... because with all the xbone talk it could've ended up like for the people at home, it just doing random stuff

Sort of a on mic/off mic switch device? A good a possibility. Good thinking.

I'm not even sure why this is a big deal. Kinect 1.0 worked like that last gen, Kinect 2.0 surely will. Not to mention the console responded in real time... It was live footage. Vgchartz over-reacting again.

Just the first thing that came to mind once I read the stuff about the old kinects 'malfunctioning'. Also, yes, like an off/on switch. Doesn't really matter if it was Push-to-talk or switching to off/on.

Personally although Microsoft showed less game footage, I am more excited about Xbox One exclusive games tha Sony's. Sony didnt seem interested in much outside Infamous and Killone. 2 of the worst exclusives Ive played inrecent years. Much rather Ratchet And Clank or God Of War.

What?! They showed a pre-rendered trailer of Forza and a mix of live action and CGI trailer for the other with very very little information. Annnnd that's it. Sony at the very least showed some games with alittle bit of gameplay.

InFamous and Killzone franchises are fine, they are above average exclusives for sony. Not at the level of Uncharted and God of War or Halo and Gears of War for the xbox, but still very respect additions. You just hating.

Be glad they didn't do an 'Intel' - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TAGrPyMKA_k

That was just embarrassing.

lot of what you say is speculation. Sony havent announced anything so why should I assume that there is any more than 5 titles being made?

Based on what  Both companies said and announced, Sony has more to prove on the games front than Microsoft from an announcemnt point of view. Currently Mirosoft has confirmed more gaming wise.

We know Forza 5 arguaeably the best launch title ever is available day 1. We know ryse and Quantum Break are story driven experiences and mor surprising that Ryse uses the traditiona controller with Kinect enhancements. Being by Crytek this game will arguably be th best looking game in the first 12 months of the PS4 and One considering Crytek track record with visuals.

ALl this Kinect talk from sad fanboys is pathetic. 3 Exclusives revealed by Micrsoft and all 3 use traditional controller and are what is considred AAA and for the core gamer. And 1 new IP already.

Seems Microsoft are putting core gamers in the firing line.

Until Sony say or announce coe games worth my time then I may get excited about PS4 game lineup. ut ther conference said to me shootes and poor openworld game.

Oh u mean Forza 4.5 with no gameplay.. going against DriveClub and GT6 good luck with that. and quantun break.. that TV show/game something, Ill prefer to play Beyond on PS3. And in graphics Crytek going up against Santa Monica and Naughty Dogs on 50% more powerful hardware then the DVR in I guess people will know what to choose.

15 exlusive MS announced.. well get a load of this every first party studio is working on a PS4 title confirmed by Shuhei Yoshida. and there are 15 of them Oh and Majority of those developers have two teams including GG and SMS who are also working on a new IP.. and not to mention Final Fantasy and Agent "please be excited"

how sad it must b to come home with ur 15 exclusive and ur friend asks to borrow ur game but u cant give him Coz of DRM... naah may be he has a PS4 :D

Console (or rather DVR or Tivo) just continues to sound even more pathetic. Not even considering a purchase at this point. The 15 exclusives were nothing more than PR talk. No way all of those will release within a year (if they even exist), and no way will they all be "good". Lets face it, Microsoft does not have that many good first party developers. Those games will most likely be no better than the non shooters they attempted on the 360 that failed. They neither have Nintendo's or Sony's first party talent to create such a huge roster of good games in so little time.
