Hmm looks liek Microsoft gained the "available" spot this year and Nintendo gained the "reserved" spot this year. So they both got bigger.
Well unless Microsoft ended up with that "available" spot last year.

No because Nintendo confirmed they had a floorplan for games a long time ago, maybe even the day they announced they weren't having a conference. They said they had a meeting for investors and a spot on the E3 floor with early access for the press. |
Absolutely. To be fair, though, there was no confirmation then of whether or not they'd have the same floor presence as they always have, they merely said they'd be on the floor. This confirms, to most of our collective relief, that they have the same enormous booth next to Sony that they always do. Truly the battle of the titans.

That is an old 2012 one. The available went to Microsoft last year. Nintendo booth is a little bigger this year because they moved the reserved area to were the booths behind their booth was and made the booth Nintendo was in larger (back to its "normal" size). The Sony and Nintendo seem to use the same booths every year. I have seen Microsoft in the East Hall before. But will all three of them in the same hall makes it easier for some of the media.
And to those talking about Xseed. That small booth with a number behind Nintendo's booth on the above map is Xseed's booth last year. So it looks like they have a little bigger booth this year because the reserved area moved to where they were.
This E3 is gonna be huge. Microsoft with 15 exclusives, Nintendo are surely gonna go big with their big IPs, and Sony we've already seen a lot from, but there's still a lot more to see from ND, Santa Monica, QD, Ready at Dawn etc.

Pretty much what they have every year.
Looks like Nintendo will have the most space, followed very closely by Sony (if you include their SOE space) and then finally MS with almost the same as Sony if you exclude SOE. MS is usually located in the South Hall so this is different. |
which floor plan are you looking at 'cause the one in the OP sony and nintendo have two identically sized boxes. ..and then there is SOE as well.

Nintendo's seems a tad wider, take a look at the booths under it versus those under Sony's. Of course there's SOE so it's really hard to judge which has the most overall space unless we get square footage.
Ultimately who cares right?
Nintendo's main block is for 3DS. The smaller one is for Pikmin 3.

Visually the big rectanular booth is a little thicker then Sony's but they have roughly the same amoun of space, cosidering Nintendo like to make multi-story space in the areas.

I drew boxes aroudn all of them and counted their pixels. Nintendo's had the most. Granted, not by much which I already said in my post (followed very closely by Sony).
Try it for yourself.
