Forums - Sales - Japan sales: M-Create & Famitsu & Dengeki week 20 (May 13 - May 19 )

yeah.

pretty bad.

do i have to comment on all of them?

You can do as you wish.

TheProf's thread from last year just provides some interesting perspective on how how Vita selling 6.3k is "it ain't happening" but Wii-U selling 6k has no comment.

did wiiu just get a large official price cut?  I missed that.

Vita didn't have one either this time last year.

It's only natural to focus on Vita atm. Due to reports of shortages and Golden week, now's the first time since the cut that we're able to see at what level sales will stabilise.

Anyone who is worried about hardware sales as a whole should make the call that third parties finally jump on board of the platform with the brightest future instead of clinging to the PSP.

How is Microsoft going to convince them of that? The 360's been on the market for years already. :p

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

How does the wiiU performing badly help the vita exactly?  Vits has been out longer, has more games and has had a price cut.    Vita has played its hand, WiiU may have more to play.

deflection.

It doesn't.  I'd just like to see some consistency, that's all.

At the same point in their lives (December launch; May numbers), Vita and Wii-U were selling 6k a week in Japan.

For Vita, this was "a basket case"; "awful"; "shocking" and "poor".  For Wii-U, it's "pretty bad" and "will start outselling PS3 by the end of summer".

I agree with you, Wii-U will get better.  But for now it's doing awfully.

Anyway, I did get you to acknowledge that, so I'll stop derailing the thread.

Terrible week. But hey, at least it's better than the US market in April . Almost

Don't say that. It'll only come back to haunt us in the coming months.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Not surprising.. all the money goes to puzzle and dragons

those $3.75 million! a day!!!! has to come at the expensive of other games.

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

The hell? I thought Summon night had 300 points on COMG?

What's with these low numbers all around? Post golden week stuff this bad?

That happens when you believe comgnet and just comgnet. COMG tends to have a lot of pre-orders for PSP games, but when numbers are out, the truth is different.

For example, another shop, Azalyn had just 25 orders for Summon Night 5, and 42 orders for SMTIV. It's obvious that SMTIV is going to sell more than SM5, and even Kamen Rider or REvelations (combined) have chances to outsell SM5.

I already posted in COMG thread that a lot of retailers blogs are reporting good pre-orders for SMTIV, higher than SM5.

It's better to mix different data from different shops to get a real perception of the market, than focus just in COMG.

I want Puzzles and Dragon Z so I'm not behind a massive paywall. Still wanna try out the game though.
