That is not good if you ask me...a LOT of people have PS360's and no HDTV so that does alienate a good portion of one's audience. But then that is is just my opinion. As always I will be owning all 3 next gen consoles but still that disturbs me. And the fact that so many people here feel it the NORM and that EVERYONE should just have an HDTV is beyond me.....smh

If you can afford a $400-500 console plus games and add-ons in this day and age, you will be able to afford an HDTV.

Xbone... It took me many hours to figure this one out. O.o

Also, what's dissen "SD TV" thou speak about?

But if could not afford both or only one for the time being more than likely you already have a TV so why not just get the console if you could only afford one of the two? I know LOTS of people who do not have HDTV's int heir home but they sure do have a PS3 or a 360....teens only making 7.50 with other exspensies can't afford both so they settel for one and that's the game.

Just being able to buy a $400-500 console does not mean you can also afford a TV as well. WHat if they had to save for a few months just to get that $400-500? I TOTALLY respect where you are coming but to make that generalization is just in my opinon wrong...just my opinion though.

Well then they should buy a $40 adapter. Surely they can afford that.

Or just stay/get a 360/PS3 because they will be super cheap and be supported for quite a while longer.

While its a non issue for the majority of us, how is HDTV adoption in places like say, Mexico? Brazil? Eastern Europe?

I just want to make sure everyone is pronouncing this the same way I am. It's the combination of "X" and "bone". Right?

Because that's a hilarious nickname. =)

OT: While I think that the vast majority of their consumers have HDMI-capable TVs, it is weird to completely write off all other potential consumers who don't. That's not really the biggest issue, though. HDTVs are way more prevalent than good internet connections.
