Forums - Gaming - Old school platformers for PSone?

I accidentally bought a PSone today, and I though that it may be a good present for my mother on her birthday, but I must know; are there any really good old school platforming games on this console. I mean an par with SMW, Yoshi island and so on? And, another question, is Mickeys Wild Adventure a good game, because I accidentally bought that too.

Haven't played the Mickey game, but you should definitely check out the Spyro and Crash games. They were both good series' until the PS2.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Also, Tomba!

crash and spyro were really good on psone

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

@Copycon: Tomba is 2D except for a few top-down sections in towns and stuff. 2 very good games

Much of crash is basically 2D, I've been playing it again from the download, and it's really great

Rayman, although it's very, very old (1995)

Crash has many horizontal stages with on rail cameras making it essentially 2D.
