I think we have other stuff to worry about. AA batteries is nothing compared to fees for used games...
Edit: wait, is AA batteries THE only option? In that case this is at the same level as fees for games 0.o

this is a big pain for me. i mean its 2013 you know. would it be so hard to put in a rechargeable battery?

I think MS screwed up on all sides I mean comen AA batteries in 2013?, even the design of the console is ugly as sin.

Just edited that post, is this the only way to charge the controller? (I mean without including the obvious 3rd party charges that will come in the future)

I keep waiting for a Jester to walk on, shake his gloved hands and say 'Only kidding.'
The PS5 Exists.

I... I fail to see the problem here.
Surely rechargeable batteries will still be available.
XbOne news keep getting better and better, for a non xbox gamer that is LMAO! :D

Keep paying bro I'll just stay over here with my PS4 controller with rechargeable batteries that last 12 hours and free online.
No wonder MS is doing the used fees/always online, you just keep paying.

If so why is it "Still take AA batteries" o.O |
Yeah, the 360 controller takes 2 AA batteries. You can replace them with an actual rechargeable battery, but it is an accessory you must purchase separately from the console, the "Play & Charge Kit".
And yes I was surprised by this when I got my 360, and had to spend on the charge kit (was worth it though, dealing with AA's must suck), because I was used to PS3's Dualshock 3, which I simply need to plug to USB cable and charge via console. Much simpler.
