Forums - Nintendo - I love Nintendo being late and outdated on the market

Love Nintendo, but I would not mind them adding the option to Install games, I also think they could use their flash memory onboard and offload ram responsibilities to it with a patch, since its almost mandatory to have an external drive.

I'm pretty sure the Wii U has that feature already...

It does not, only downloaded games are installed at the moment.

I can't wait until the 10th Generation for Nintendo to implement these new-fangled technologies!

I'm sure Nintendo aren't happy about it though.

I am sure they are pretty happy. They are one of the few companies that can keep the price of their games high not just for a year but entire generation. As a consumer i would like the prices to drop like they it does on ps360 and pc but from a business standpoint Nintendo are doing something remarkable.

Hopefully Nintendo continues to be "old and outdated" in this and many other fashions. I personally love and prefer that their game design philosophies remain "old and outdated", because it means their games will remain FUN. And I also personally hope they never charge for online, or force "Always online", or make it so you can't play used games, or fully remove any backwards compatibility, etc.

I hope they stick to what they've been doing, and just release some of their megahit franchises for the damn thing, and all will be fine.

I hope they release a Wii U revision some day with more RAM though, I like the instant speed of the XBox One and PS4 seems to tout this as well.

I hate waiting like 30 seconds to just get to a title screen of a game.

RAM is barely even a factor here. 3DS has a near-instant main menu with only 128MB of RAM. It's all in how the software is designed. Too much crap in the Wii U menu, and poor prioritization of how things load, IMO.

one thing i love about Nintendo is their continued support of local multi-player in their games. You can call it outdated, i absolutely love it.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Im with u on that one. Online muptiplayer has never been a big deal to me, im more of a single player guy and when I do play multiplayer id much rather do it in the same room as friends/family.
