Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Confirmed : XBOX one = 8 GB of DDR3 & 1,24 Tflops

I'm still puzzled by amount of transistors inside One - they said 5 billion, and that's really big number if only 768 shader GPU is inside.

For comparison, 7770 is 640 shader GPU with 1.5billion transistors, and 7790 is 896 shader GPU with some 2billion transistors, so One's rumored GPU should be somewhere in-between (in transistor count, performance is around 7770 due to lower clock speed).

PS4 has 1152 shader GPU and that should put it at some 2.8 billions - so it'll be really interesting to see what's really inside One, or at least what MS counted to come to that 5 billion number.

Xbox One SOC only uses up to 100 watts according to Engadget.

"The system is designed for an SoC up to about 100W, but will vary on the scenario."

Which would be about right for a HD 7700 class GPU and an 8 core AMD Jaguar CPU.

1.2TFLOPS to 1.84TFLOPS is the difference between HD 7770 and HD 7870.

No, it's the difference between a 7770 and a 7850.

Don't lie to make your favorite console look better.

Anyways, I predicted these specs long ago. The only thing I was wrong about was them having 4GB RAM, yay me!

Lie?

HD 7770 1.41 TFLOPS > Xbone 1.2 TFLOPS > HD 7750 0.92 TFLOPS
HD 7870 2.56 TFLOPS > PS4 1.84 TFLOPS > HD 7850 1.76 TFLOPS

I just used the next GPU in AMD lineup for both.

right.... that's the part i've been trying to find out.  whatever those extra 2 billion transistors are doing they will be doing something

I am also wondering.

Here is a more detailed picture from Wired:

I can only assure it's DDR3-RAM as we can all see here.

Still wondering what the other parts are (aside from APU and SATA- and fan-connectors).

CPU: AMD 8-core Jaguar (?)
GPU: ~1.8 billion
eSRAM: (?)

You are just forgenting the CPU and the ESRAM... the APU for Xbox is  in 40nm too.
