That was purely a power issue (apparantly); something which the Wii U doesn't have to worry about as much. 

If the Wii could play 5 or 6, it would. Because every other Resident Evil game is avaliable on Nintendo platforms, so 7 also being on the Wii U seems highly likely (if not certain).

Even if it is true, with Resident Evil 6 not selling the way they'd like, I believe they're waiting on Revelation's sales to see where they should bring the franchise.

Surely Capcom aren't that idiotic. The game will be lucky to break a million copies (not including 3DS sales I must add)

Where, i should note, it is more redundant than on PS3 or 360, as there's more likely to be cross-platform ownership between current Wii U owners and 3DS owners who were likely to buy Revelations.

In fact they should wait longer than before, do a complete different game with a different approach, release it on next gen.

I think it is way to early for it but then this might be for next year with the reveal revealing that it has gone back to its roots like they said the series would do in the next installment
