I don't know how successful Move was (saleswise) but I doubt that there are so many Kinect-customers that no core-gamer bought it. The reason why they bought it and how they judge Kinect (or Move) now we don't know.
But both MS and Sony will again focus on motion-controls (of unknown ratio in contrast to core-games we don't know) so it will come to us either way.

motion+ got atrocious support, worst than move or kinect

Maybe in quantity, but not in quality.

when only about four of those games are actually worth a damn and its been on the market since 09 that is nothing to be proud of.

Neither are Kinect and Move though. I'd still contend that neither device had a game in the league of Skyward Sword.

Killzone, Portal 2, Bioshock Infinite, Resistance, Infamous 2, thats of the top of my head, Really? The Move is getting support still and motion + hasnt for a while. Thats a fact. Skyward Sword is overrated probably the worst of the 3d Zeldas, i would place Portal 2 and Bioshock above it easily Kinect doesnt really do 'core' gaming so you got me there.

I haven't had  a chance to play Bioshock Infinite yet, (I really want to, I adore the first one) but I'd say Skyward Sword is easily better than Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Infamous 2, or Portal 2.

your opinion is your opinion but that doesnt change the fact that it got pretty bad support and continues to get bad support, one game that game out the year before last doesnt change that, not when the other two are still gettting support

is there any info or source that states how many people play those kinda games with Move? im interested in knowing how popular it is with core centric games.

No clue to be honest. But IMHO the important thing is that they have the OPTION to use Move

i agree, i wasnt trying to discredit core games on Move or anything like that, just genuinly curious.

But the only way i can see the big mainstream/core gamers flocking to motion controls is by making it the only option. I think it just comes down to people being happy with dual analog controls and dont see any need to change them.

oh i understand, but IMHO they tried that with WIi and it didnt really work, its not like core games got popular that only had that option. Ill use Zelda neither of the WIi games did any better than the prior ones, i would argue they did worst considering none have toppled OoT and that was released on a less popular console, matter of fact they started adding the option for CC control for a lot of later Wii games.

One game better than anything on the other two though. Like  said, quality over quantity.

thats still piss poor support though, cant really spin that, i know you dont care and are satisfied with one game, but i assure most people arent. Which is why motion+ gets so much flak, we should have been ass deep in games with how much are out there, its sad that their are less Move and Kinects but they have more games. I think you are letting your Ninty bias cloud your judgement a bit, you would say Zelda was better motion controls or not.

A console with motion controls won this generation and will sell over 100,000,000 units.

/thread

yes, a console that used the blurmarket strategy, which in the Wii's case it didnt try to attract the "core" gamers but it expanded the market by offering something that appeals to people who did not game. the Wii's sales success and drop of sales at the end of its life shows that the market that it appealed too isnt the same as the one as the ps360

lol @ selling 100,000,000 yet not appealing to the "core" gamer crowd.

And the sales dropoff just goes to show that Nintendo has a new console out and stopped supporting the Wii.

it had a sales dropoff long before Wii U hit the shelves

I would hope so... but the sales of Red Steel 2 do not instill confidence.

What makes you think "they" haven't? I surely enjoy the Wii, and it's motion controlled games, and, despite liking Nintendo games (le gasp!), I consider myself "core." (To an extent, depending on what you define "core" as.)

It's been limited really, some but not many use motion controls. I like motion controls personally but i don't really have the space to use them so i have to use a controller. But i don't think "hands free gaming" is a good idea

well its simple, the games that are coming out. the ones directed at the "core" simply do not use motion controls almost all the times. im not downplaying the Wii or suggesting ALL those who play it are "casuals" or that nintendo fans are casuals. but its well known why the Wii was a success, because it attracted new consumers and people who didnt play video games before like soccer moms, grandparents and so on.

what makes me think they havent? well im looking at the PS3 and 360.  you dont see people going on and on about the kinect or move and how they want naughty dog or the Epic games making motion control games. the type of games coming out for them also suggest that MS and sony know this.

The thread title alone offends me.

nothing really to be offended by. im not implying that every Wii owner is casual and none of them are core gamers. but the reason why the wii sold so much was because it catered to a new market, the so called "casuals". it expanded the market by offering a product that appeals to another audince, i thought that was very much well known. why people are taking so much offense in this thread is beyond me, its really easy to notice that motion controls are not really well recieved within the core crowd, just look at the games from ubisoft (ac4, watch dogs), rockstar with gta, EA with Mass effect and battlefield and so on, none of these games can be fully played with motion controlls. and none of these companies are making games like these that appeal to the core that use motion controls only, why? its simple, there is no demand, there is no appeal
