Forums - Gaming Discussion - Great mechanics that never returned in sequels.

Planting berries was awesome, and so was mining from Gen IV. Wonder why these never returned in 5. This is actually part of the reason why Gen 5 has my lowest time played from all my Pokemons.

Wii Remote + fishing in Skyward Sword would've been perfect.

There are more out there just don't know.

Treasure chests with random content which vanish when you open another one somewhere in the world in Final Fantasy XII.

"Yes, you're screwed. You've missed the Zodiac Spear forever, so if you want it you have to delete your 100+ hour game and start from the beginning"

So much fun reading gamefaqs' forums...

The Double Team Karting from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! was pretty cool.

Resistance FOM MP. Playing as both sides was some of the best fun i had this gen. Then they messed it up and tired to turn it into call of duty...
