I am digusted by what this website is becoming.

So EA isn't releasing anything on Wii U and suddendly the Wii U is going to die and Nintendo is going to be a third party? Has everybody lose his mind?

The Nintendo forum is becoming flooded by anti Nintendo guys.

The moderation should immediately ban people making these threads

Spurge is a Nintendo fan, he just asks the most unusual questions at times, relax a little.

They'll either make their games exclusive to various consoles (PS for certain games, XB for others) so as to make the most use of the hardware that best suits their idea. It's their current philosophy and that wouldn't change.

And they would likely become the very best dev on mobile platforms, even opening up a new market on that platform.

They would make possibly even more money. But they're already making money now all things considered so this never was an issue.

Nintendo isnt dieing anytime soon. As much as some people wish they would.

Was bad enough seeing SEGA make games for sony consoles...... i hope to god that does not happen to Nintendo.

Too late, SEGA has been making games for Nintendo consoles for well over a decade now.

I don't mind SEGA making games for companies like Nintendo who got in to this business for the RIGHT reasons. (i endorse SEGA making games for Nintendo now that they are third party)

It does pain me however to see them make games for sony though.

How can you honestly hold that opinion being a Microsoft fan?

I own a 360....... but i'm not a fan (i just happen to despise sony more for been the first to enter this business for the wrong reasons)........ with SEGA gone i wish it was Nintendo getting all of SEGA's games and all 3rd party games for that matter.

Don't think about these things

by the time nintendo dies, sony and microsoft consoles will be rotten corpses.

nintendo didn't struggled years upon years having massive losses on their consoles like microsoft and sony.

they have the money to keep themselves in this market just for fun if they want to.

As long as Nintendo has to face competition like Sony's Vita I doubt it will ever stop making hardware completely. They might pull out of the console race if that becomes a waste of money but they still own the handheld market and it's not looking like that'll change any time soon.

If they do step out of the console race I think they will develop for their own handheld only. So no more console Nintendo games.

I doubt that will ever happen though, even the GameCube with it's 21+ million units sold was profitable to Nintendo. Compare that to Sony for example who are still hurting even though the PS3 has sold almost 4 times as much as the GameCube now.

This thread is done TOO often. It is pointless to speculate on things we know are not going to happen.

Even if Wii U flops like GameCube, even if the console industry dies, Nintendo will do what they have done in the past and develop new hardware, maybe even new kinds of hardware.

It is true that the only company who is at risk of exiting the console business anytime soon is Sony. If the PS4 fails like the Vita, Sony won't return to the console industry. They might not even have the resources left to launch another console.

As Iwata said, if Nintendo goes, all their franchise goes with it...
