i think vgchartz has minimum 3x as many playstation 3 owners as 360 owners. that alone should be a reason for much less hype. and as more people are interested in it as more different discussions between some guys you get.

Xbox fans are the minority on forums, especially on VGC and N4G.

It is a new console and CoD is the biggest gaming franchise today. A lot of people will watch the conference because of CoD. Mainstream media will pick it up and especially if it offers a new engine and it looks like a big step above Black ops 2 the media will say "it runs on Xbox 720" or even something like "Mircosoft revealed the new CoD with their new console."
The point is, if it turns out that there actually is a deal between EA and MS for some exclusive content like rumored and it includes Battlefield 4, they basically secure the FPS crowd in a second. People know there will be a new Halo on the next Xbox, but im combination with exclusive content for CoD, Exclusive content for Battlefield 4 and a new exclusive game by Respawn guys, it is just an overkill. Killzone won't do the trick to get the FPS audience on the PS4 then.

I am not trolling, but the main reason I am watching this event is because of all the multiplatform titles that will be shown (most probably).

How would that be any diifferent than the current generation.? MS always had the FPS crowd even during the PS2 times. Hopefully MS goes after another genre.
