I wonder how much buzz it will generate when some real news actually comes out! Anyway over the past 3 months I would say talk about Xbox Infinite is at a higher level than talk about the PS4 before it's reveal. Not that any of this matters can't wait to play either the PS4 or Xbox. Hopefully after the 21st I have a better Idea which one I'm getting first.

well if you guys have the necessary prerequisites you can download Microsofts " Analytics for Twitter" and do some similar researching etc. Its much more basic but its a pretty cool excel add on to play around with

i can't believe that so many people really think the earlier reveal will make such a difference in october (or whenever the consoles release)

articles which will compare the consoles the next months, advertisement, games library, entertainment possibilities, fan loyality, price and stuff like that will sell consoles, not a february or may reveal and if some people heard about one console 8 months before release and about the other one only 5 months before release.

i think sony has a lot more hardcore fans who are fans for over a decade and that will be the reason why ps4 will probably sell better as nextbox (at least the first time), not the buzz from the last months.

or vice versa, i think sony would still sell more consoles as microsoft even if we would know about nextbox since february and would hear about the ps4 in a few days.

Let's wait and see if it's the same this time next week.

%66 of the "chatter" is about CoD ghosts..... I think they'll be alright. If that many people are talking about it on the internet already, surely they'd tune in to the Microsoft neXbox reveal too, or at least most of them. It could actually get more live viewers just because of CoD.... Sadly enough. The negative rumors may get more viewers too, just to see if it's real or not. Of course though, those same rumors could hurt the viewership, though I don't think it would too much.

Sorry I don't think VGChartz or GAF are good ways to measure how much media buzz the PS4 event recieved. I know it was a good amount of hype that I don't deny, just not as big as some make it out to seem. 

One of the reasons why I think we're not excited for this is that I think the PS4 annoucement was more (will we show it?) teasing. This is confirmation so people will pop in whenever.

Also after the disappointing of the PS4 meeting I'm not watching this live. That stuff was too much talk.

Vgchartz and GAF might not be but Youtube kinda is. PS4 video went viral.

Also it was on the mainstream news....

People all over the place were talking about it or atleast aware, im talking about non gamers. The event delivered.

Its died down and i dont know how people actually felt about the console itself...so this isnt a long term thing. But in terms of getting the word out there to just about everybody relevant and making them aware of the PS4, they succeded 100%.

Now the full reveal, release and games need to take it from here.

Edit: BTW I think Microsoft will naturally receive similar coverage etc. Its built up the XBOX brand practically from nothing last gen. But if you looking at the "hardcore" gaming websites...PS4 hype seemed to be more. In fact the next box hype seems kinda low...not much discussion about it on GAF...The reveal could change all that though

Like I said it had great hype. I do agree with most here the Next Xbox reveal hasn't generated that much Hype compared to PS4 I'm ready and eager to pre order my PS4.
