I think we can all agree that even if they do make a sequel, the Last of Us 2 is not a good title, this is probably just defensive work on Sony's part

They help each other though. Nothing is really as exclusive as you're kinda insinuating :P. I think once TLOU is out, the TLOU folkes will help the team that is probably doing Uncharted 4 now until that is released or close to release before announcing anything new (while ofcourse they start to discuss what to do after that as well).

 

And also:
Maybe TLOU2&3 won't feature Joel and Ellie. Its fully possible given the world and I can see them doing it with other characters hence each game really being a complete different journey and characters which also makes each game drastically different depending on what one prefers or can relate more to. Possibilities are endless really!

Thats true too I guess. The diff characters thing can be really good since they can be set anywhere and with new characters. Different states or maybe even countries.

I hope they have plans for sequels. This game has huge potential to grow to have it's own universe so they can introduce many other protagonists and show the new games from different directions or maybe even some experiments with different genres (just not karting)

I can easily see TLOU being one of Sony's most succesful franchises with many games without the feeling of milking and growing fatigue.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Seems like a single game kinda story (think SotC and Heavy Rain) but maybe a different character in the same world like how Walking Dead has the TV people and the game people that don't interact.
