Well it's been revealed for PS3 (to the discontent of some) and coming this holiday.  GT5 was adjusted to over 10m recently but it came in the middle of PS3's life cycle.  How will GT6 do at the end of PS3's life but on a larger install base?  Will its legs be cut off prematurely?  Will it skyrocket as the first "true" GT game on PS3 (as some say GT5 was disappointing)?  Speculate!

PS: Let's just talk PS3 version here

As for me I see it selling about 9m lifetime.  GT2 sold about 1.5m less than GT on PS1 and the numbers for GT are very similar to GT5.  That's not all there is to it as GT4 sold about 3.5m less than GT3.  I think the time in the lifecycle is part of this pattern and GT6 will follow suit.  I think it will probably make more money with a bigger debut and less later sales (bigger install base to buy right away instead of when they get the system) but it won't have the same legs because by the time it gets to where GT5 is now PS4 will be big and people won't be buying as many new PS3 games.

Well I was proven wrong with GT5 sales so I certainly won't lowball GT6 sales. GT5 was considered mediocre by some at launch but certainly not anymore. Sony did a good job fixing most of the problems though which i'm guessing is why it sold more its third year then its second. Anyway I think GT6 will reach 12mil total on PS4/PS3. 

The first second GT game on a console to sell more?  So the quality will reflect sales I guess is what you're saying as more people will be satisfied straight away.  Anything to do with how long you think PS3 will stay relevant?

Oh, the Sony-way! Combined numbers ;) Perhaps we will see this exactly like this officially by Sony ;)

At least 12 million, which unfortunately isn't an option on the poll. Remember GT5 is still selling well, i imagine GT6 will sell for some time after launch too

I predict a 96% Metacritic and 14 million lifetime sales.

I think 9.5 million, but 12/13 if released on PS4 too

This is a difficult poll. GT5 sold well in the 2nd and 3rd year. But GT6 is coming about at the end of PS3 cycle, so it may not sell well into the 2nd, 3rd year. Also it's somewhat uncertain if GT6 is going to come out for PS4 next year or GT7 exclusively for PS4 will come out soon......
