Funny enough I've never had any problem with any Nintendo system ever. The original XBox was also a beast and I never had any issues with it till about two years ago where it would on and off read discs, but the laser/drive was pretty cheap to fix. I only had issues with Sega systems outside of the RROD: My dreamcast controller ports fried, sega saturn died via lightning (not really It's faultI suppose) and my game gear just stopped working. I ended up buying replacements for all of them since I used them a lot.
That is the thing with the 360 and PS3, there were so many exclusives and multi plateform titles coming out each month this gen, that it was hard no to go buy another one after these problems. Nintendo had some good games as well, but not month after month after month. People had to go buy another PS3 or 360 if they wanted in on the action.
