no-it simply doesn't matter how powerful pc's are as exclusive optimised AAA games with high graphics does not exist for this platform to show its real power.PC games simply don't have the budget to show the power
You will only get next gen console games with higher resolution and some more frames=the difference won't be huge.
As the next gen will be graphically on a high level and pretty close to cgi-movies(thats the top of the tops) it would not even matter if the pc is 20x more powerfull as high level graphics as there is not so much room to improve graphics.
maybe in 10 years when voxel engines combined with ray tracing will occure there will be a significant jump in graphics but until then the improvement in graphics will be pretty slow.

unless you use those Powerful PCs for other things than gaming, then you wont see the benefits of monster rigs, because games are made around console architecture.

Consoles have been holding the PC back ever since the PS360 launch where PCs have been marginally better other than mods. 60fps and no screen tearing in my opinion is a better reason to own the PC versions, but as someone who wants to own physical copies of the titles and play these games in 20 years, I can live with 30fps and slightly worse lighting and textures that aren't super noticeable even side by side.

Next gen consoles are going to hold back PCs once again. So during this gen, PC was never next gen quality, so since we're finally making a generational leap, then consoles are going to be next gen as will PC games finally be next gen as well.

Yes, if you spend enough money, the cost:performance ratio will be in the PS4's favor but the raw power will be much lower on the PS4. Generations on consoles are not defined by graphics, that's just game devs' arrogance working inside their heads. Wii U is 8th gen much like how humans give birth. Just because your grandson is going to be retarded(not literally saying you are a grandfather obviously), it doesn't mean he's from the year 2000 or 3000BC.

If you want more of a graphics generation definition, use the PC one, since the power doubles every year on the GPU front.

the same tiring feeling people have of the pc vs console debate is the same they should have console vs console. at the end of the day what you play is all that matters and frankly if you limit yourself then thats your choice. if only want console x or console p thats your choice cause in the end all the matters is your entertainment.
