because of the many idiots that want an account there to just spam the forums. there are a lot of users who get banned shortly after their official registration and i am not surprised they are :)

So what do they do to check that you'll be a "quality" poster?

They don't really "do" anything.
They just slowly approve memberships and each new member gets a trial "junior member" period where they can do anything other users can do but if they get banned during that time for even the smallest offense, they're permabanned.

Why would you need ESRAM in a system with such high bandwidth? @bold |
What? Cost is an issue. Expensive RAM would raise the cost of the console (and if supply constrained, hinder availability). Most likely Sony is passing some of that cost increase, if not all of it, to consumers.
Also, what does talent of engineers have to do with type of RAM? Having a mix of DDR3 + ESRAM would clearly be in an effort to lower cost to keep the console more affordable, which is actually MORE difficult to design hardware around (and make games for most likely, not a good thing). It's not like the answer is black and white either - one choice save you BOM cost, one gives you max bandwidth.
At the end of the day, it would mean that Sony and Microsoft have different strategies regarding cost vs. performance. I hope these companies both throw 16Gigs and a Titan graphics card in just so all of you cry like a bitch when the console is over a grand.

mega facepalm. the company's financial state has nothing to do with that. this is about final price for the consumer.
We had a thread here that had the rumored specs at the begining of year and the next Xbox had always been rumored to have 8GB of RAM (Though DRAM not DDR)

What? DDR-RAM is DRAM.

Not unless he's living 10 years in the past lol. DDR3 is the 3rd iteration of "DDR". DDR 1, 2, and now 3. ... Alas, I'm guessing I missed a joke here so apologize if you were not being serious.
