Is SOA actually any good? I tried watching it but i got lost really often, like one episode they just started the game and by the next episode they're like level 40-50 or something with a guild already, which made me think i skipped some episodes in between on accident. Then everyone told me the later episodes were shit so i just sorta of gave up on it.

The anime could of really done well for itself. Pacing was way too fast. I think it was such a hit cuz people fantasize all the time that virtual reality gaming should exist (wat the show is about trapped in a digital world "Digimon" lol).

Its pretty good in the world they start in(2 parts), but the second was kinda a letdown :-/ 

I can recommend so many better animes truthfully, but it is a good watch non the less 

This is the series biggest flaw, they rush through the season rather than expanding on it and drawing it out into something bigger.

And without spoiling it, eps 1-14>15-25 but I wouldnt call them shit. And they dont have massive skips in the 2nd half like they do in the first

I liked the scenario of the first half more, but the pacing is horrifically bad, and I too thought I'd skipped episodes. In the second half the pacing is great, and I honestly felt a lot more suspense than the first half, despite the second half losing a major source of tension that the first had. The final few episodes were great, as far as I'm concerned. Something totally awesome happens at the end that you will wish would happen in the real world. Overall, the series could have been much better, but I would still rate it very highly amongst animes. If the pacing of the first half is what turned you off, you might like the second half more. You'll definitely hate the villain in the second half more if you're anything like me.

 The growing potential of Yokai watch is Phenomenal. It is doing so well in COMG just few day after pre-order start, 12 products of the game(first one include) are in the top 20 Daily Ranking  of ranking.rakuten, the first and the second one are on top in amazon now.  I m not sure that just the anime release could make such a Monstruous Increase.

Sword Art Online is 14 episodes of excellent, then 8 episodes of terrible, then 3 episodes of excellent and I haven't watched the movie yet. Certainly though, even with the rubbish chunk in the middle, I still enjoyed it very much.

(And yes, I agree with the pacing problems - I'd rather they spent a whole 25 episodes in Aincrad than what they did)

The reason I'm excited for the game is because it returns to that area and all the characters I liked and doesn't touch most of the rubbish ALO stuff.

And that's why it's nice seeing it get so many points these last few days! Though, I fear the points conversion is going to be pretty harsh for it.
