A few more days for the chart to get really boring. at least we'll have MK8 to cheer for.

Wow, that MK7 Vs. MK8 post by Tbone really put things into perspective.

I was joking before about all hope being lost, but now I'm totally, completely, and utterly serious.

Yes. MK8 is not going to sell well especially when put up against those MK7 numbers. Wright can back me up on this.

All hope is lost!

I don't think Mario Kart 8 is really comparable to any recent Nintendo games.   Nintendo Is kind of famous for not puting man of their games up for preorder more than a month or so before the game releases in Japan.  So we really are in uncharted territory here.   Who knows what kind of effect this will have.  It could mean that COMG preorder numbers will be massively inflated compared to First Week sales(at least compared to the previous Nintendo First Week to COMG ratio), or its possible that preorders will go up at a slower pace than normal until it normalizes to what a normal 30 day preorder window would do.

Mario Kart should do very well... Donkey Kong may have gone nowhere but this franchise is too popular to flop in Japan. I think it can do a million in sales.
