does anybody know where I can find a list with the games with best first weeks sales in Japan? thanks!

Are you talking about just Switch games? Or everything? Pokemon doesn't stand a chance at breaking the all time record.

I found figures from 2008 for biggest Japan Launch (Famitsu numbers):

Final Fantasy VIII - 2.5m
Dragon Quest VIII - 2.24m
Final Fantasy VII - 2.03m
Final Fantasy IX - 1.95m
Dragon Quest VII - 1.86m
Final Fantasy XII - 1.84m
Final Fantasy X - 1.75m
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl - 1.59m

Some more recent tiles:

Pokemon Sun and Moon - 1.91m
Pokemon X/Y - 2.1m
Monster Hunter 4  - 1.72m
Smash Bros Ultimate 1.22m

And click the "FW" column in decreasing order to see the largest first week sales numbers.
