It would need 2.6M copies for that. On a console that has sold just over 7M in Japan.

So yeah, that is certainly not happening.

It may become the best performing PS4 game but ever or even biggest in the franchise is not possible.

FF8 had a 2.5M opening.

It needs over 1.35M to become the best PS4 game in terms of opening week.

Additionally the fact that it is only the first part of the game that gets released I expect that some customers will wait for the version with all parts.
