I guess we can say for sure that Smash is going to do 1m+ FW. Hopefully it does 1.5m, but that would be somewhat close to what SSB3DS did on its first 3 months, which would be shocking.



Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

It depends if you are only referring to retail (best-selling retail exclusive) or not. If so then yes, if not then no. Also that's assuming that you are considering MHW an exclusive (as it's a console exclusive in Asia), otherwise there's no question that Smash will outsell everything else's first week in Japan.

MHW did like 1.8mil FW? Im not sure. Either way, this will be Nintendo first million seller ever FW (if pokemon dont count since TPC) in japan

Actually only 1.36M FW according to VGC, so it could very well become best selling first week of any game this year. And if it sells over 2.2M until the end of the year, bestselling game of the year in just 4 weeks (outside digital).

Yes and no, it's at least a console exclusive there, but the PC version should be available.

They're probably talking about Japan only. Btw, how much did Spiderman do globally first week?
