Yeah! Something I noticed, is that on Rakuten where pre-orders are usually "selling" the same amount of already-released games, now in this Christmas season reservations doesn't appear in the first page of the top, and I had to look for at next page to see the pre-order number one. So, I guess the same happens outside the e-commerce world.

Stores are more leaning towards showing the big stars rather than promoting next releases.

Yep! Like for me, I wouldn't use my money on christmas to pre order something for a game that is a month a way. I would rather use it to buy games which are having some good deals right now.

Yes for Resident Evil since it's a brand new mainline title.

Not so much for Monster Hunter since its just an updated version of a game that released over a year ago.
