Well, first of all, Rakuten is not a chain, it's an e-commerce site. The biggest one in Japan, yes, but still an e-commerce site that doesn't represent what Japan is at all. Even though, I don't think there are stock problems, at least on the site the games weren't doing hot since at least two weeks ago, so I could perfectly say that pre-orders are being limited for that particular case. Now, there is one point that is false and one that is true. The new trailers do appeal people in Japan, and not only that. Physical stores have a large amount of space showing Pokémon advertisements of Sun and Moon. If you see official statements from Sofmap or Bic Camera (especially from Twitter or Ameblo) they are pushing everyday Pokémon pre-orders. The problem about slow movement is true but not for not appealing, it's simply there is plenty of time and there is no need to destroy charts every now and again. |
Thanks for clearing this up. So:
-No stock problems (probably)
-Game is appealing to Japanese
-Pre-orders slowed down because the game still has a lot of days untill the release.
