What the hell.. I said something about wishing FFXV to underperform in the West because I want another old-school FF game.

Must have been a glitch.  Yeah isn't it funny how this flopping might be good for the old-school fans.  But if it's successful SE are at a crossroads and will have a tough choice ahead.  They'll likely side with the west, knowing they can probably remaster old games and still get the old fans to buy. 

I do wonder what are SE's expectations for XV in the US and Europe. Better than what FFXIII did?

We only know that SE is happy with preorders. Can`t be true for Japan anymore (unless they calculated this?) though. They didn`t adjust their expectations for future quarters this financial year though - which means so far nothing out of the ordinary must`ve happend to in their plans. I mean you adjust your quarters if something bad/good happens, right?

It would be nice to know the pre order numbers in the west. All we have is VGChartz US data, which shows Final Fantasy XV above Final Fantasy XIII with the same numbers of weeks left.

It's too soon for shortages. PS4 might even be higher than last week without releases. That's because shops are saying to their guest that stock problems are expected by the end of August.

Well considering holidays started in Japan should be easy up compared to last week, same for the next 2 weeks no?

All I can tell you is that the game is doing very well on Amazon here in Germany (Deluxe Edition is #9 on the Games section and never really left top 20 since Uncovered) and overall in Europe. But I have no clue how big Amazon is in Europe for the gaming market.
