Actually the 500k number being thrown around is rubbish, people reading way too much into it and just speculating because Falcom dropped a line to set a lofty goal months ago to try for the "PS Gold prize" along with the usual user choice prizes. It has nothing to do with the company's finances or expectations. It would just be "a nice thing" if it happened.
