I haven't particularly noticed it on amazon.jp.

It's the third iteration of the game by now, perhaps Japan have had enough and want WO4 (although, judging by the buying habits of the Dynasty Warriors crowd, probably not).

Well technically it's the second if you ignore the failed Wii U version.

The game has been quite hyped up recently in Japan so i would have expected something. Especially since the original WO3 sold over 550k in Japan on console/portable. And this is being released on the same combo of consoles.

Lost Planet 2 did pretty decent in JP and here in HK. It was like a third person shooter with 4 player online co op fighting huge as monsters. But this thing is just another Gears of type clone.

I disagree about Lost Planet being a Gears clone, the first game released only 2 months after Gears of War 1. I bought my 360 for Lost Planet and Gears of War, and honestly both are very different games. Gears of War is mostly a serious close combat 3rd person shotgun fest, with almost no vehicles. Lost Planet is a less serious long range 3rd person shooter with a huge emphasis on Mechs and large Monsters.

They play very different, but the problem is after Lost Planet 1, which was an amazing game, the franchise kinda fell apart, where Gears held strong for 3 games......then fell apart.
