Forums - Sales Discussion - COMG! Japan Pre-order Chart Thread - Daily updates!

I forgot that monster hunter was launching so soon. It seems like it's been there forever and just a mainstay that it'll be sad to see it go.

Same applies to the "perfect" JOJO next week.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

If FFXV was to launch at the same time as GE2 it would be above it.

Retagging.

Yea, but it opened to 82k, so that's like 70-100 points on COMG?

Looks like I answered my own question, X won't be on top, unless nothing else is releasing in the near future Too bad, I honestly enjoyed X much more then any recent FF game.

X may do better than Xenoblade did for the simple fact that Xenoblade was a brand new IP.  Now that gamers know of the series and it has a very passionate following....and X is certainly aiming at Japanese gamers (mechs and Monster Hunter similarities), I have no doubt it can do well on the charts. Or at least betteer than Xenoblade did.

The type of demographic that this appeals to would have most definitely played (or at least heard of!) Xenogears or Xenosaga before....

Eh I haven't. I actually found out through research afterwards.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

You were also pretty young when those games came out 12 years ago. I assume that most JRPG are more likely in their last 20s, early 30s then the 18 on your profile.

Nintendo has a policy of playing close to the chest.  They rarely announce games more than a year or 18 months out (Zelda being the one IP they'll consistantly admit to working on years in advance).  TGS, the annual January investor report and E3 will give us the big details on titles after those you mentioned (plus Mario Kart 8).
