But seriously, are there no other 3DS games on the horizon? Wii U I understand, but that there's not a single other 3DS game with more than 9 points kinda shocks me.

Doesn't look like it. It also doesn't look like a lot of games have opened up preorders yet. COMG just likes to do that.

Some of the big games haven't opened up pre orders yet. I think Bravely Second did but i think thats an april release. I forgot the other near by games.
