I wonder if GE2 can maintain the pace or if it'll slow down. I expect the latter, but you can never be certain.

I don't think its dissapointment. Previous M&L games, except 3, sold 120-130K first week. 2nd game debuted during holiday season, and only managed to sell 120K+ FW. Well, every series has ups and downs.

So some MH comparisons:

MH3G ended with 1268 pts, opened to 525k.

MH3P ended with 5024 pts. For the same time frame as MH4 it was at 2536 pts. So MH4 is actually doing quite well I think!

Not sure if this was posted here when it happened but apparently the first shipment of MH4 was 600k until Capcom increased it since it was sold out in the places stated in the links.

a 600k initial shipment would be the biggest mistake Capcom has made since RE 5.

Yes, that's old. I posted this one month ago. After this, Sinobi said twice that the shipment was increased, but no number was provided.
