At least Zelda is considered a classic with concerts around the world and great quality in each game. We cannot say the same about SSB.

SSB is the bigger franchise overall and in sales too. Pls stop Spinning ↑→↓← 

SSB for 3DS, first time to be on a portable system for the franchise going to outsell LoZ best HH title WW on the worst selling Nintendo HH :0

Actually, the only game in the Smash Brothers series to outsell Zelda's best is Brawl.

Melee and Smash 64 both sold inferior to Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. Smash 64 was still outsold by Zelda 1, too.

SSB on N64 beat MM and it was a new franchise. Even though it lost to OoT, it was still the 5th best selling N64 Game.

SSBM was the best GCN game period.

SSBB is the best selling fighter of all time and it beat TP+SS on Wii together.

SSB 3DS is a guaranteed win. It needs to get at least 4mil which it will probably do just this year and it needs 5mil to beat LoZ best HH game.

SSB WiiU will be >>> LoZ U

 

Overall SSB is bigger than LoZ.

Yeap and look wat i just posted. SSB is clearly bigger than LoZ. (one post up!)

Imo the biggest franchise's Overall for nintendo are.... (yes i split mario up, its different enough)

Mario Kart + Pokemon + 2D Mario >  Super Smash + 3D Mario >> Zelda + Animal Crossing > Donkey Kong + Kirby + > Metroid  and so on
