One, the expensive one, isnt even available at COMG which is the one that would be likely to have the most preorders.

And will also be the lowest selling SKU. That part of the argument gets ignored everytime its mentioned.

Of course it will, thats why Hyrule Warriors should have a decent COMG-Sales ratio... unless of course the game really bombs hard in which case the limited editions could actually sell more.

Anyway I really expect the NA Zelda fanbase to actually be its main audience and not the usual Musou fanbase in Japan (who are PS gamers)

It better be, because expectations for Japanese sales are incredibly low.

Does this count as a crossover game? I guess Zelda characters are crossing over into Musou mechanics and gameplay systems.

Easiest to explain it as a crossover than a spinoff of 2 franchises combined... one of those franchises which is already a spinoff =P

Edit: plus its a crossover of multiple Zelda games =P

I guess, I never considered Dynasty Warriors a spin off of ROTTK though.

I guess there are 2 types of crossovers.

1. "Franchise World" x "Franchise Gameplay": Games that use a franchise but use anothers Mechanics.

Examples:

Hyrule Warriors: (Zelda x Musou gameplay)

Pokemon Conquest: (Pokemon x ??? gameplay) Srry forgot lol!

Super Mario RPG: (Mario x FF gameplay)

2. "Franchise" x "Franchise": Games that mix 2 or more franchises together. (gameplay can be from either and/or completely new!)

Examples:

Marvel vs Capcom

Super Smash Bros

Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei

The first game titled Dynasty WarriorsSangokumusō in Japan, is a fighting game and different from the rest of the series. All English titles are a number ahead of their Japanese counterparts due to the English localization of naming Shin Sangokumusō, a spin-off of the previously mentioned Sangokumusōgame, as Dynasty Warriors 2.

I don't really consider it a spin-off. I believe the first game was a fighting game based on the limitations of the hardware. If the first were on the PS2, I believe it would have been a beat-em up like the rest of the series.

I don't understand all the Japanese hype for a revamped game from last year. Monster Hunter is a beast goddammit. O_O
