Just share it, I was actually hopeful for the game, I know the genre and style is kind of niche, with little support on the console, but this is a little short of a disaster and even with all the constant flow of videos coming out for the game it seems the preorders are not picking up. There is hope that other stores are getting better numbers and there could be some decent sales with the digital version being cheaper, but still the overall sales will be nothing extraordinary, I just hope it helps the console to keep some decent numbers till more tiltes come out, and that it gets a better future in America and Europe, my wife is waiting to see if a special edition is announced to pre-order. |
Well, let's just say that I was semi expecting this in Japan. The Musou fanbase is not on Nintendo systems and the Zelda fanbase, which is already way smaller in Japan then it is in the west, seems to be taking a way more levelheaded approach to this then it is in the west (where it's pretty much "OMG it has Link, it's awesome" no offense) and is thus not eating it up just because of the Zelda look.
I also have strong doubts that significant amount of people would buy a Wii U for this in Japan, just doesn't look like the title many people would get a system for especially if that system is probably never going to get any of the other Musou games. I expect Hyrule Warriors to sell a lot more in the west (which still doesn't equate to actually selling really well imo) than it will in Japan, which is very unusual for the Musou series.
