I think if it's going to be something exclusive, it'll probably be a brand new game. Sort of like what Ubisoft did with Haze...Have fun with that one!

I dunno, probably out there, but if MS paid enough I could see EA agreeing to timed exclusivity for this year for the Infinity versions of FIFA/Madden and holding off on the PS4 versions.

PS3/360 versions would be released as planned, so they're really not "losing out" on the Sony audience, just PS4 early adopters, and those who really love FIFA or Madden would be forced to probably buy an XBox Infinity.

All it would really do is channel the FIFA/Madden fanbase all to the XBox Infinity instead of splitting it between the PS4/Infinity early on. It's not really EA losing sales so much as Sony losing sales and it would just be for the next-gen machines.

Hasn't it basically already been heavily hinted at that the Respawn EA game (from the creators of Call of Duty) is exclusive to 720?

So there's the "one" big title. It will be interesting if the deal with EA extends to other properties.

If in fact there is a deal, they will do it with a new IP, and it will be timed exclusive, so that they get more attention and media coverage.  They will sell like crazy on the 720, then it will be released for the PS4, where it will sell good, and finally the sequel will arrive on both consoles and they will hype it like crazy.

For current gen consoles, you're right. Ps4 right now has sold 0, same as the xfinity. If Fifa exclusive made them buy a neXbox instead they wouldn't loose any software sales. Having said that, I doubt Fifa will ever be exclusive.

Oh come one even on PS4 we all know Fifa will outsell the 720 version (if they play the same on both consoles). Sony has Europe right now and who plays football games the most? Europeans.
