the only way xbox could take europe would be if fifa was exclusive. could it happen? i think its just more DLC or some other cheesy shit.

Lol EA isn't about to exclude the PlayStation console from Fifa releases. That would literally slash the sales of fifa games by a minimum of 60%. This is EA we are talking about here, and unless Microsoft paid them a LARGE amount of money don't expect Fifa to be exclusive to Xbox.

For current gen consoles, you're right. Ps4 right now has sold 0, same as the xfinity. If Fifa exclusive made them buy a neXbox instead they wouldn't loose any software sales. Having said that, I doubt Fifa will ever be exclusive.

Oh come one even on PS4 we all know Fifa will outsell the 720 version (if they play the same on both consoles). Sony has Europe right now and who plays football games the most? Europeans.

I didn't say it wouldn't. I said if it was exclusive. Halo sold more on 360 and Kill zone sold more on ps3.See how exclusives work?

And I'm saying that the reason they wouldn't make it exclusive is because of all the lost software sales. While some people will switch to a 720 to play Fifa, not everyone would therefore lowering the sales of the game. To assume that every single person who buys Fifa right now would switch over to the 720 just to play it is wrong.

Everyone wouldn't, there are still the current consoles to consider. M$ could afford to give them the money they'd loose from not selling software on other platforms easily. I did say I doubted it would happen, remember? Calm down.

I am calm buddy. Microsoft could afford doing it but it wouldn't pay off. Unless they actually plan on compensating EA for ~8m sales of Fifa 14...Which I doubt. Also, I know you agreed with me on that it wouldn't happen, but you claimed that EA would lose 0 software sales because people would switch to 720 to buy Fifa and I stated that not every single person would switch their console choice therefore causing EA to lose software sales.

Hasn't it basically already been heavily hinted at that the Respawn EA game (from the creators of Call of Duty) is exclusive to 720?

So there's the "one" big title. It will be interesting if the deal with EA extends to other properties.

What if they announce Star Wars the Old Republic as an 720 Console exclusive.

Who really believes EA games will be exclusive to the next Xbox in any way, shape or form?

A one year timed exclusive is possible, perhaps that Respawn game like rumours say. I think it's possible because rumors say that MS is in trouble and up to 6 months behind schedule for its 1st party launch line-up.

And since Epic probably will go multiplatform with Gears, MS might feel the need to invest say $50 million on a timed exclusive deal with EA for one high-profile title to ensure a good start for the Nextbox.

fifa would be the last of EAs worry.  the sony  crowd would go absolutely nuts and not buy nothing from EA.  that would make the bungie deal look like child's play.  EA has right to fifa til 2022.  i hate exclusive league rights period.  its why were stuck with shit madden when NFL2k was better.

but think about it the ONLY way to play FIFA would be on the xbox.  lol i think europe would burn microsoft down

8 million... I said neXbox only... If you think the first Fifa will sell on the next consoles as well as it does the current ones you're kidding yourself. If it was 720 only, it would pay off in the long run. They would loose 0 software sales. Xbox fusion sales+money= no loss. If anything it would e a gain, they wouldn't have to pay for shipping and M$ would possibly cover the advertising.

Have you noticed during our discussion I've used every rumored name for the 720? I couldn't help myself!!

Wasn't just "Xbox" one of the rumoured names a while back?

We already knew that Microsoft and EA had some exclusive deal.
