This worrys me. See I don't even want my vita anymore as its not something I see worth pumping money into when the PS3 games as still flowing so strong and PS4 is coming so soon. If it wasn't for Killzone I would sell it right now tbh :(

100% Exactly Sony see's Nintendo's offering's in this part of the market, and they are not blind, they know that this market is very focused on smartphones and tablets Even Nintendo with its massive lead in dedicated game handhelds is no where near the level in hardware and software sales of smartphones and tablets, both Sony and Nintendo know this, the dedicated game handheld market has a market share, and while Sony's sliver is tiny in this market at least they have a sliver, which is more than anyone else has against Nintendo, do people really think Sony's going to drop a platform that is barely 1 year old world wide, and where even though sales are low the retail chains are still ordering unit's? Do people really think Sony's going to drop support for such a platform when retail chain's even though sales low amounts of unit's per month or year, but is still selling them are re ordering more from Sony. Do people really think Sony's just going to drop that?

More to the point, do people really think Sony is going to drop support for a platform it never supported to begin with? That's unpossible.

let me ask you this, what kind of speed did you expect for games to be developed for with the PSVita?
the fact that the PSVita has 128 MB of dedicated GPU ram vs the Nintendo's 3DS which has 6 MB of Dedicated GPU ram, to get development of games for the PSVita its going to take much longer and have a much higher budget. That or you are going to end up with quick pick up and play games being front n center for the main part until the projects get done. They are not just going to snap their finger's and have these games made real quick. unlike many handhelds the PSVita's hardware is not like a handheld, its more along the lines of a living room game console in the portable case.

On topic, it's clear Sony isn't planning any price drops for the Vita in the west. They probably prefer lower sales rather than makes losses. |
499 US dollars for ps4 confirmed then
Yikes. Really surprised they aren't going to spur sales with a price cut. Lord knows it and it's ridiculous memory cards need a price drop.

1.This has to be the worst argument on any Internetforum in the world...bravo !
2. This is bullshit, the Vita uses stock mobilephone/tablet components (Arm 9 for the CPU, Power VR for the Cpu), the 3DS has a more unusual Gpu than the Vita

never supported to begin with?
really? i hope you are joking because, you do not spend 18 months on games invesment on a product you Quote:
"never supported to begin with"
you do not spend resources , development teams, time and money making high end games for a mobile platform that can take years to make
LITTLE BIG PLANET
Tear away
soul sacrifice
Killzone: Mercenary
gravity rush
and these are just 1st year releases on the market for a handheld gaming platform.

Vita has been on the market for well over a year now. Soul Sacrifice just launched, and Killzone and Tearaway are still about half a year away from being released.
But for the sake of clarity, let me rephrase "never really supported" as "piss poor support".
