That SoR art looks like something out of a Saturday Morning Cartoon.

Awful looking.

Don't see how that's a bad thing. The aesthetic of the 16-bit generation was pure Saturday Morning Cartoon, even if it was a mature-ish action-game like Streets of Rage.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The concept art for this Streets of Rage is bad. Its horrible when in comparison to Art from 20 years ago. If you compare Streets of Rage to any other Beat em up from that era it is distinctly the least Cartoony. It married colorful cartoony and realism pretty damn good and being Cartoony on a 16bit console wasnt really a choice. It was nearly mandatory. In this day , better art than what was offered 20years ago should be a givn and you definitely expect better art for a Legendary series like Streets of Rage. That above screams low budget. It looks goofy as hell.

Can't be worse than the latest Double Dragon game :P

It looks meh at best.

Honestly, I don't know what they are waiting for a new  Streets of Rage or a Final Fight that take inspiration of the latest Batman games. Rocksteady has pretty much nailed how a Beat'em'up should be done in 3D.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Absolutely not. Not Even close. the Beat'em up genre is actually an extension of the fighting game genre. They're pretty much half brothers in core design. Batman shares nothing in common with fighting games and more with games like Zelda or Okami. Not to mention... Batmans battle system is fun but it does have depth of combat engine for a game born from the fighting genre. If Streets of Rage is converted into 3D it should actually play similiar to: Yakuza:

or Spikeout:

Please do NOT drag Streets of Rage's LEGENDARY status through the mud Backbone...!!!!!!!

Looks like it came from a 90's cartoon show....God I miss the 90's.
