Forums - Sony - Is Playstation Plus worth it? These Are The Games You’d Have for $50 if You’d Subscribed Last Year

depends from person to person. for me they are not but ps+ has more to offer as only those games and it is surely a very fair package as a whole for many people.

about the games:

they would cost more if you would buy all of them but i don't want to play some of the games in the list so they are worth nothing for me and some of those i would like to play are already mine or i didn't buy them for the price they cost as digital download because those have not the worth for me  even when some of them only cost a few euros from time to time on steam, gmg or wherever else.

as example, i bought just cause 2 for 3€ and didn't buy it for 4.50€ because that wasn't worth it to me lol. so yeah, there are games which interest me but most of them are or were already mine (bioshock 2, demon's souls, street fighter IV and resident evil 5 to name a few) and i wouldn't pay 50 bucks for the few others.

i rather like to pay for those indie bundles to support smaller indie developers

Here's something I've been wondering. If you cancel your PS+ subscription and renew it at a later date, can you still play the titles from your previous + collection?

The EU PS Plus is far better than the US one that it ain't even funny.

Yes

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

I thought this was already determined. PS+ is a great value for the price you pay.

For me it isnt worth it. Just because when you stop paying you lose acess to your library of games. This makes PSplus a renting service and i dont think many realise that.

Of course there are people who dont mind taking that risk or find it worth it because they buy absolutely everything that gets discounted regardless so they save up money that way.

Still, its a MUCH better offer than Xbox live Gold.

Not really. It would be better value for the consumers if it's free, Xbox Live should be free too. But that's just my personal opinion from a user who has used "gaming networks" on the PC that have for decades been 100% free to use, ranging from zone/battle.net in the 90's, to Steam, Origin, Impulse, uPlay of today.

the ONLY problem with PSN+ is that it's a gamble. I already owned most of the games on that list, so I didn't really get much of a boost. However, the games I didn't have that I picked up proved to be something special. spec Ops The Line, Vanquish, and various others have proven to be very fun.

Another way it's a gamble is that there's no way to tell if a game's something you'll like.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

It would be an even better value if you get money for every game you download. For example, you download LBP 2 and you get 20$, no PSN credit or bullshit like that, just cash. You'd have thousands of dollars if you were subscribed to it from day one.

The discounts would also be much better. I mean games are discounted, that is nice but when I want to buy a car there are no discounts. Not to mention not everyone want games. My father couldn't care less about games but he'd really be grateful if he gets a car 50% discounted just because I have PS+.

It depends on who you are and what you think is worth it. I believe there is no right or wrong answer here. To some people it is worth it and to others it isn't, that is really all I can say about it.

The worth here can still be looked at very objectively. Just look at the games above. If that's not a great deal for less than the price of one game then I don't know what is...
Plus actually cost about half that as a game costs here for me. In the past I bought a game for a high price, played it for around 10-15 hours and then never played it again (unless it was really special). Now I can pay even less  than that and get dozens and dozens of games and dozens and dozens of playtime. And honestly, if you don't get your money's worth then you either don't enjoy games or you buy too many games already.

You are not looking at it objectively. I can understand that you have bias but don't let that cloud your judgment. For example, where is the cross game chat? There are so many games here but no cross game chat? See the irony here?
