How could you not like Shmups, you...monster! :(
And I'll tell you what I tell everyone. Wait for whatever happens the 21st. Of course you are not hyped: you don't know anything until MS says something, like the rest of us.

I think MS will release a decent launch lineup for the 720. Heck Call of Duty Ghosts and Battlefield 4 will likely push the system pretty well in North America, MS's most popular region, and they aren't even exclusive.

Banjo N&B and Kinect Sports were good too!
Who has the better exclusives is subjective and not worth discussing.
MS relies too much on Halo? I'd argue they do a great job supporting a very popular IP.

I beg to differ, and I feel Halo isn't what it used to be. Halo 1-3 were excellent, and I loved Reach, but I can't stand 4.

You're being subjective. You expect everyone to nod and agree?

Mass Effect 2 was also an exclusive for a period of time. So the series lost exclusivity after two releases.
Few exclusive IPs were produced? Gears of War, Crackdown, Alan Wake, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Ninja Blade, Kameo, Ninety-Nine Nights, Viva Pinata, Too Human, Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Kinect Joyride, and Dance Central. A noteworthy exclusive that didn't come to PS3, Left 4 Dead. I don't think MS broke any records, but that's not very few exclusives. Think before you spew bullshit.
What you consider good from Rare is subjective. If those same games Rare released on MS platforms were released on NIntendo platforms, those same games would have more fans.

Out of all those exclusives you mentioned, what isn't shovelware, and what can 100% of 360 owners buy? Not much huh? And timed exclusives don't count.
Plus if you really want to be technical, a third of the games left aren't exclusive, they are available on PC.
There are 5 or 6 worthwhile exclusive new IP's by Microsoft, but there are over a dozen crap ones, so being excited for the 720 because of 2 new IP's is a bit silly given the typical quality of their exclusives.
I think, of the big 3, you can only really look forward to a new IP by Nintendo because yes they are rare (rarer then MS new IP's), but they are almost always excellent, or at least good (In the case of Pandora's Tower).

What game did I mention was a timed exclusive? (Mass Effect 2) The games mentioned haven't moved to other consoles. I don't feel anything I mentioned is shovelware.
What can 100% of 360 owners buy? Uhmmm... all of it?
Being on the PC as well doesn't really matter in my opinion. PC isn't apart of the console war.
There are 5 or 6 worthile exclusive new IPs? That's more than a few like you claimed existed. Also, who cares if they're new IPs? Why do we have ignore new games of old IPs? Those aren't in demand?
I'm not going to argue who has the best new IPs. Its subjective.

A lot of people like Halo 4, a lot of people feel Halo is being milked and are sick of it, a lot of people have opinions on games, I'm just saying mine as a 360 owner.
You don't feel Ninty Nine Nights is shovelware? Exactly what are your standards for gaming?
75% of 360 owners don't own Kinect, and Kinect is more expensive then compeditor systems (Wii). So half the games you mentioned aren't even accessible to most 360 owners, unless they buy what some would argue, a whole new system (Kinda like a Sega CD).
But PC DOES matter. If the best Microsoft exclusives are available on PC, then you don't really need a 360 to enjoy the best of gaming. Not all people have powerful computers, but years down the road a normal PC's specs will be able to play those "exclusives" so in reality, most people have access to PC-Console "exclusives."
As for old IP's, MS is kinda milking them..... Yes Gears of War, Forza, and Halo are pretty cool, but with a new game every 1-2 years, It's a bit much. Yes they are important, but without drastic changes to the franchises, they don't give much incentive to get a 720.

What we do know about the 360, don't exactly scream spend $500 for me yet...we've all played Halo, Gears, and Forza, and it's not like we need to play the newest iteration.

I'm gonna assume where you said 360, you meant the next Xbox.
Do we know its gonna be $500?
New iterations were most of the best selling games this gen.
I think you've said enough, sir. You're out of touch.

720 is rumored to be around $500, and I believe that's how much PS4 cost (might be a rumor). However 360 launched at $500, and it's likely that 720 will cost roughly the same, if not more, then the PS4. Heck 360 costs just as much as PS3 now since it hasn't been keeping up with price cuts, I don't think MS wants to cut profit to undercut Sony.
New iterations were most of the best selling games this gen? Last I checked Gears of War 3/Judgement sold much less then Gears 1 and 2, Halo 4 and Reach sold much less then Halo 3, and Forza Motorsport 4 sold less then FM3. When franchises like Uncharted, Fable, and Elder Scrolls are selling better and better, and those 3 key franchises are selling less and less, I think it's fair to say that they are making less of an impact then previous iterations, and might be indication that those franchises are "milked."
