Forums - Gaming - That one moment...

Have you ever played a game and then there was one particular part that you really felt changed you somehow? If yes, what game, and what moment? (Please use the spoiler text, so people can avoid your comment if they want to)

For me it's from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky! Almost at the end of the game your companion Grovyle (which was a villain in the game for a long while) sacrifises himself for you. It really was a very emotional scene, even though it might be hard to explain why. The game had been building up for this point for a long time, but I wouldn't have expected that to happend. It's the only point in any game that I have started crying, at least a bit (manly tears FTW).

Oh well, couldn't remember those threads. Anyways, when it comes to the mario 64 moment, I'm talking about a specific "something" that changed you as a person more than how your view is on gaming.

There were many in Persona 4: Golden, especially in the later levels of certain people's social links.

Gaming moments that changed my life:

The end of Braid
Passage
That moment in Kid Icarus Uprising where they have you play as a little girl in a war zone for 1 minute.

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Oh, well it's all good then :D

And yeah, it truly is a big thing, but that moment I experienced in PMDEoS (long abbreviation) really stuck with me, and I think it actually made me appreciate my friends more.
