Forums - Nintendo - Madden a NO GO for Wii U this year. EA reaffirms it still has a "Strong Partnership" with Nintendo.

Jesus H Christ... everyone is missing the fucking point.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MADDEN OR ANY OTHER SPECIFIC IP.

It has everything to do with EAs current bitterness towards Nintendo. There will be NO EA games coming to Nintendo for the foreseeable future. No FIFA, no Madden, no Tiger Woods, no Battlefield, no craptastic EA games at all!

Quit focusing on sales of this or that and lack of this... its all bullshit and not part of EAs "logic" right now. They are mad because Nintendo didn't do something that they obviously thought Nintendo was going to do when their fucking CEO was on Nintendo's E3 stages glorifying the system and pledging unparallelled support including current and future Battlefield games, etc.

It likely won't last however, as Wii U will get a userbase that EA won't be able to sell bullshit stories to their investors on why its being skipped. Likely in 2014 it will all return.

I cannot imagine what happens when that partnership weakens....doom!

wow no madden. really going to follow nintendo sales in the coming year, and how much of an impact its first party games will help out. Please nintendo have a decent online before you release smash, please, please, please, if not im sorry old friend i might have to skip this generation, maybe.

"We're in the business of making money" said by every company ever known

I'm sure the "EA bitterness" mantra would have worked about a year ago when both Nintendo and EA thought that the Wii U would sell like gangbusters out the gate. Now that reality has set in, I'm sure EA's reasoning is more of that they can get a better return investing in mobile and the vita then having to commit resources to the Wii U outside a couple good will jester games.

nintendo will put a football game with nintedo characters.... that would be a good response to EA's good partnership

Now EA should stop making games on all systems.

Your attempt to rationalize their fundamentally irrational decisions would work if any game were in question but Madden.

You think dropping Wii U support for Vita is ever a rational desicion?

Well Need For Speed, FIFA, and Madden are all doing much better on Vita than on the Wii U.  Actually each of them individually has outsold all four of EA's Wii U games combined.  Now I don't think Vita development is necessarily the best use of resources, but it seems fairly rational to drop the Wii U.  The system has terrible hardware and third party software sales.  The former has basically no chance to recover for at least a couple more months, and the latter may never improve.

Also, as an aside, why do a lot of people seem to feel like EA treated Nintendo unfairly with its launch lineup?  Late ports of their annual sports titles seems to be the hallmark of their console launch support, but people seem to act like this is EA bullying Nintendo.

I'm really worried about EA on Sony and Nintendo platforms.

EA wasn't at the PS4 announcement in february and with the rumours of the next game from Respawn being exclusively on X720.

It seems they are aligned with MS.

I'm assuming M$ really has that online DRM thing solely because of this.

EA will support that to death.

I think the same as you.
