Forums - Nintendo - The one Nintendo game that would most benefit from realistic graphics upgrade

WaveRace

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Metroid Prime is probably the only major Nintendo IP that's been strongly depending on realistic graphics, so there's no contest.

Zelda would be my second choice, but I don't think Nintendo agrees with me on that one. Realistic monsters and (certain) environments may scare away some of the younger audiences.

OP's embedded image doesn't show for me, but I want to voice my complete and unconditional agreement.

I agree on Endless Ocean, but Xenoblade, Metroid or F-Zero are franchises that could also benefit from realistic graphics.

lol @NiKKoM

I'd rather those be more surreal myself, not realistic.

Well, it depends on what "realistic" or "surreal" mean to you.

When I say realistic I mean characters and worlds (or planets) that make you look at them they can fool you to believe they are "real" for a sec until you realize they are a game.

Take the "X" video that we know, and look at the animals

They aren't real but look alive, like the sort of creature a mad scientist could create. That's what I mean when I say realistic, something that almost looks real.

And that doesn't go against being surreal.

Please excuse my bad English.

From the options I have seen posted on this thread this is the only one that actually makes sense. Congratz.

Endless Ocean would really be great and with the gamepad it could be a better game.

Wave Race and Pilotwings would be great with realistic graphics.
Would the correct art style, Zelda would be killer!

Metroid Prime 4.

What about Xenoblade? The only reason I haven't played it is its graphics.

You have'nt played one of the greatest RPG of all time that offers you over 60hours of pleasure with a epic story, great characters and awsome gameplay only because of the graphics? Seem like a legit decision... If the game were made out of sprites I would understand, but the environments in that game are gorgeous, only the character design/animation are flawed.

Anyway, back on topic. Metroid without a doubt, as for Zelda, I'd hate to see it go the darksoul way. I don't want my zelda all grey with no light or color, I love the fanciful world, filled with color like it came from a fairy tale, that's what makes the charm of that game imo.

What?! I can't hear you over all this awsome! - Pyrrhon (Kid Icarus:Uprising)

Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)

Yeah, I know how this sounds, but I really can't stand bad graphics with such games. I could play super mario bros 3 forever and have no problem with its graphics, but it's hard for me to connect with a character and the environment of an rpg when they look bad (ps2 always looked bad to me as well).
