He put things into perspective this week.

He didn't say much of substance in that video about Nextbox really but I'm increasingly starting to like Adam Sessler.

Games was pretty much his major point to give Microsoft an image like Sony and Nintendo. Hopefully the get themselves to stand out more with games. Outside of that he basically was telling everyone to STFU until Microsoft unveils the consoles.

This was the worst video ive seen by sessler and that is coming from somebody who really likes him a lot. He didn't really say anything to be honest. He just said he thinks that they will split the announcement. 21st will be entertainment and E3 will be games. Early adopters will be core gamers.

The only thing M$ really needs is a couple more exclusives, either 1st or 3rd party. Everything else they've got going for them.

What they should really do is go after the Nintendo casual crowd this gen... they've managed to steal away a good chunk of the Wii's userbase during the later stages of this gen, something that Sony hasn't been able to do. With the Wii U not doing too hot, the door is wide open for M$ to continue to steal Nintendo's audience, both the casual crowd and the long-time fans who are starting to get sick of Nintendo regurgitating their franchises over and over again.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Splitting the announcement isnt exactly a bad thing but we all know entertainment wll be a huge part of their unveiling. They are saving the games for E3.

I know it's not a bad thing.  It has been predicted since day 1 by many including me.  Sessler brought up nothing interesting in this video and all these was predicted long before he said anything. Kind of shocked that he didn't say anything interesting about an announcement as big as this when he usually does. Maybe predict what some of the new 1st parties are doing, surprise 3rd party announcements, or what apps he thinks we will see.  Or what kind of media he predicts.  Anything really but he didn't.

He was stating what he wanted from Microsoft, and that is essentially the majority of the people in the gaming media has been begging MS for and thats games. Outside of that everything esle can wait. He wasnt making predictions.

But what was interesting about this video?  I could make a video and say the same thing.

"Hello this is JayWood2010.  May 21st MSFT will be announcing there next generation console.  It will likely be focused on entertainment while the E3 portion will be focused on games.  I'm excited to see the announcement on the 21st but I want to see the games that we will likely have to wait for until E3 to see."

That is pretty much what he said.

Yes, he said that Xbox needs to carve out an identity. But that's been obvious to many people for a long time now.
